Happy Birthday to Family Musings

Today marks 1 year from the date of my very first blog post ever. I am not really sure I expected to get this into blogging when I made that post. I never knew that I would know about things like RSS and memes. And I certainly wouldn't have been so inspired to keep on blogging if it hadn't been for my beloved Google Reader.

kids_2I'm not going to be be greedy and ask for a lot of fancy, schmancy presents for my blogging birthday, instead, would you just leave a comment and say something nice about me or my blog. If you can't think of anything nice to say about those things, then, well, just say something.

Since I am not lucky enough to live in Charm City and have Duff personally design my cake, I thought I'd just share one or two of my favorite Charm City Cakes with you. If I had it my way, they would all be filled with chocolate cake and a yummy fruit and cream filling.

I couldn't pass up a cake with a moon on it! And stars too.

There's a good story behind this one, but Angela will have to tell you.

I wonder what my blog would look like memorialized by the artists at Charm City? Don't forget to leave a birthday comment. I want to meet my lurkers! Google Analytics says there are about 30-50 of you on any given day.

  1. Hi Jennifer! Yes, I am a "lurker" as you put it . . . I read all your posts on my google reader so I don't typically take the time to actually come to your site and leave a comment. I enjoy keeping up with you, though, and I think you're doing a great job blogging! Especially love all those darling photos of Charlotte! Keep up the good work!

    Blessings,
    Rachel W

  3. Happy birthday blog. I can't believe you're a year old already. You definitely take after your mommy; you're so smart; you can communicate so well and you've already traveled across the globe. You're growing so fast. It seems like just a few weeks ago you were a plain template blog and now you've definitely started showing your own unique personality. And you're so much bigger each time I see you. A year ago, you appeared and were this tiny little thing. Now, you're sprouting up like Jack's beanstock.

Just remember, your mommy loves you, your daddy loves you, your friends at church love you, your online friends love you...

but most of all, Jesus loves you.

Yes, I said Jesus loves a blog. But, I think he does because he loves to see his people rejoice with each other and share their passions with other. All good things come from above, even (good) blogs.
