Tennessee Pumpkin Patch

Image
When the weather is beautiful, all I want to do it be outside. When the girls are cooperating, all I want to do is take cute pictures of them. And a Tennessee pumpkin patch in October is the perfect place for both of these variables to come into place. Here are the photos in no particular order, with random commentary as I felt like it. :) This is my niece Rebekah. I LOVED her dress (and her too!). Turns out, it is from Gymboree and my sister-in-law bought it at a consignment shop. I think it was a great choice for some time spent with pumpkins. These have got to be the 2 ugliest pumpkins I have ever seen! I've been asked to work on providing more sensory input to Mary and to try and get her used to more textures. So, much to my mother's horror, I left her barefoot to walk around the patch. She didn't seem to mind it as much as I expected, which wasn't what I expected. In the past she has hated to be sat in the grass! I don't know where Charlotte was

Giveaway: mini mioche

Image
A week ago, I put on my crazy hat and drove several hours to TN with just the girls. All to celebrate a 1st birthday (pictures and stories coming soon). Bruce thought I was crazy. But I knew better - I am crazy! :) Overall the trip went well. Thank you for asking. Since the weather was cooler there than in "no-Fall Florida," I was able to let Mary try on one of her newest outfits - a mini mioche Fresh Dress with Snug Pant leggings . It was perfect for an afternoon at the pumpkin patch when it's too cold to stand in the shade and just perfect when you step out into the light. It was one of those days when you can't help but smile as you feel the sunlight warm your skin while at the same time the breeze tickles your cheeks to remind you that it is actually cool outside. And just like that simple pleasure, the premise for mini mioche is simple: Amazing basics and fashion styles The absolute softest organic cotton  Great fitting products  Interesting and diffi

Blogger Burnout

I have been suffering from a serious case of blogger burnout. It is the only thing that could explain my near 6 week absence from Family Musings. In August, I began writing for some other people and then my blog became all about obligations and I finally rebelled against my own self-imposed obligations outside writing commitments and took a break. But I missed this blog. I missed sharing funny stories about Charlotte and Mary. (And there have been some good ones recently.) I missed sharing my amateur photography with you. I missed getting honest to goodness real feedback from my friends. So, I'm back. I've got some stories and pictures to share. And I also have some review obligations to follow through on. Hopefully you'll enjoy the mix, get a good chuckle from Charlotte's antics, and maybe even discover a new product or company.
