I love reading Janel's blog. Recently, she shared her results on the 1930's Marital Scale. I took the test just now, with my husband beside me to keep me honest, and this is how it came up:

86

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

It might have been higher, but I wear red nail polish! Put it on my toes just before July 4th!

Then, I had Bruce take the husband's version of the test, and this is how he scored:

140

As a 1930s husband, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

Apparently, he would have been a better spouse in 1930 than I! I'm glad I snagged him in 1998.

  2. Why is it that the men are scoring higher? Do you think it could be that the standard was so low for them compared with the women back in 1930?
