13 Most Popular Posts of 2011
One more recap before 2012 marches on... here are the most popular posts on Family Musings in 2011 that were not some sort of review or giveaway:
- Keeping Life Real & Honest: In which I share about my personal struggle with depression and the steps I was taking to make a better life for myself and my family
- 8 Tips for Occupying Kids in the Car: Inspired by a FB post from MOPS Int'l, I shared how I manage our car time without losing my sanity
- Why We Chose Sonlight: This was an important post for me in clarifying why our family chose this homeschool curriculum for our preschooler
- My Mother's Day Gift to My Mother: Every mother loves a good gift, and my mom loved this one!
- 30 Day Photo Challenge: This series held many of my most popular posts of 2011. Too bad I didn't finish it. Maybe that will be one of my blogging goals for 2012.
- Acting Out Bible Stories: Jonah & the Whale: Want a fun way to help your children remember Bible stories, then thank my husband who is the source of this idea.
- Helping Moms in Joplin, MO: Moms helping moms. That is what you helped me do when a tornado touched down in Joplin earlier this year. Thank you generous readers. You did good.
- Inexpensive Custom T-shirt Designs: DIY projects get a lot of love from my readers. I will definitely have to plan more of these for 2012.
- Devotional Diapers: My favorite baby shower gift ever!!!
- New Playground in Lakeland: I think the popularity of this post had a lot to do with SEO. I only half pay attention to SEO when writing personal posts, but this was a popular search string early in the year when the park opened.
- New Recipe: Jennifer's Chicken Croquettes: Was it my mention of Paula Deen that got y'all salivating for this recipe? Whatever it was, this was the most popular recipe I posted in 2011, followed by my Pumpkin Pie Pancakes.
- Why I Am Going to MOPS Convention: A subject near and dear to my heart, thank you to MOPS Int'l for sending so many great people my way to read about my own reasons for leaving my family for a few days last August.
And the most popular post of the year...
- Monthly Menu Planning: I guess I'm not the only one who needs to keep my schedule and grocery costs under control! I am still using a monthly plan. Are you?
I'm glad I contributed to your successful blog. :-)
