I tried to find a picture of me wearing my new glasses, but since I'm the one behind the camera most of the time one does not exist. It doesn't really matter, we all know you are just here to see pictures of my daughters anyway.
My friends at Mom Central invited me to try a new type of lenses, made by Airwear. They are 43% lighter and 10 times more impact resistant than standard plastic lenses, plus they offer complete UV protection and are virtually unbreakable.
Virtually unbreakable? Hello new glasses, welcome to my world of want-to-be-grown up toddlers and curious babies!
To get the glasses, all I had to do was pick out my frames (I went for cheap ones at a local super store) and mail them with my prescription to Airwear. It took a little longer than expected to get them back, all made to suit my prescription, but I was told this was due to this being a newer product and the company trying to work out their shipping and receiving kinks.
You can learn more about these glasses and how to order them by visiting the Airwear website, http://www.airwear.com/. Oh, and did I mention this was an eco-friendly company? They recycle all of their production waste and use as much recylced material in their packaging and production as possible.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Airwear and received a pair of Airwear eyeglass lenses to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
